Q: Can I control the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip with a mobile app?
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip isn’t compatible with mobile apps like the Nanoleaf Mobile App or other smart home apps. It works only on Mac and Windows computers via the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
Can I cut the Lightstrip?
Yes, you can cut the Lightstrip to fit your monitor. Only cut the loose end, NOT the end connected to the Controller. Cut carefully along trim lines without cutting LEDs. Once cut, the strip can’t be reconnected, so check length before cutting.
Can I extend the Lightstrip?
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip cannot be extended. We offer a 2.5m/8.2ft length, which we’ve designed to be the ideal size for most monitor setups.
Can I connect it to Google Home, Apple Home, Alexa or SmartThings?
No, the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip is designed exclusively for the Nanoleaf Desktop App and does not support integrations with smart home platforms like Google Home, Apple Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
Can I screen mirror content from a streaming service like Netflix?
Some streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video block screen capture, recording, or mirroring due to copyright restrictions. In these cases, Screen Mirroring won’t work. For other content, your screen can be mirrored onto your lights.
